I'm so proud today of my polaroid camera! I did this picture from Rihanna at the show from Gareth Pugh! She was really sweet with me and guess what happened next?! "Nothing!?" Rihanna asked me to do another polaroid of her with one of her girlfriends because she wanted one polaroid too!!! Can you believe that?! I said to her I would only do it if she would visit my blog tonight and her answer was: "OK!"

Ohh! The show from Gareth was awesome!!! It was so pretty!

Today I also saw Impasse de La Defense, Moon Young Hee, Tim Van Steenbergent(amazing collection!), Devastee, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Rochas(very pretty!), Peachoo+Krejberg and Fatima Lopes. (If you want to see the digital pics I did from the shows... go to WireImage.com)

Modern Art

I was not planning to publish nothing today. I just had to go to a meeting and to the supermarket but my girlfriend told me to take the polaroid and you will not believe who I saw!!! Stefano Pilati, creative director at Yves Saint-Laurent. I swear it!!! I had a chance to ask him to pose for a polaroid and he kindly accepted my request! He was looking great but guess what happened?! Nothing!!!
I was standing there... and the camera was stuck! I apologized and he left...

I could not belive what happened and started to look around the camera... open, close.. open again... close.. and *FLASH* in my face! The picture came out!

But my readers teached me... it is art! I planned it! Perhaps one day people will look at this picture and say: "Antonio was a freaking genius!" And I will be rich and famous! :)
So I'm opening now the auction! The biddings for this masterpiece start with 1 euro!
(I have the feeling that my blog is becoming a comedy sitcom!)

The final countdown! I saw so many models walking to castings today and I tought it would be nice to show two of them before the fashion week in Paris starts!

It feels so good to wake-up and see your mailbox full of invitations! I received today Barbara Bui, Bruno Pieters, Lie Sang Bong, Marithé François Girbaud, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Gaspard Yurkievich and many others!

Last friday I went for a walk to photograph some people for a magazine and on my way back home I saw Alber Elbaz from Lanvin!!!! He looked so cute! But my polaroid camera was inside my bag and I was at the other side of the street and could not reach him before he entered his car. There was just one way... jump in the front of his black mercedes but then I started to imagine the headlines of the french newspapers. "Fashion Suicide!!! Paparazzi hit by fashion designer in high speed!"
Well, I'm sure I will have other opportunities to photograph him!

It was again a sunny day in Paris! I did a shooting with Jelena & Selena from Just WM at the Louvre, in Trocadéro, at the Arc de Triomphe and at the Place de la Concorde, in Paris.
I hope to see them soon again at the shows in Paris Fashion Week!

I went tonight to the premiere of the show "Désirs" at the Crazy Horse, in Paris.
I saw there many french celebrities, Kenzo, Jitrois and Dita Von Teese!
Women walked at the red carpet with some really amazing dresses and I saw also some men walking with dresses and heels...

Sunny day in Paris! I had a meeting at 12:00 and after I went for a walk in Le Marais.
When I stepped out of an art gallery I saw this girl walking at the street...
I went after her and asked if I could do a polaroid... her face was so familiar!!!
So then I said the most stupid thing ever: "I think I saw you before at the fashion week?!"
I'm such a moron! I realized only later that it was Lou Doillon!

I went for a long walk today. I started at Avenue Montaigne and went by foot until the Taschen Bookstore in Saint Germain. I wanted to see Helmut Newton's book... I love it!
After that I went to Le Marais and I met Nadja at Rue des Archives. She had this unique style and I needed to do one polaroid of her.
On the way back I met 3 brazilian models at Rue Saint-Honoré, they had such cool outfits and I did a polaroid of them but the image was damaged too... :(
I finished my tour at Avenue Montaigne, there was no sign of the Fashion Celebration Night anymore.

The misadventures of the polaroid photographer

My Fashion Celebration Night turned into an unprecedented fashion photography disaster!
Well, it was not so bad, I ate macaroons all night, I saw lots of stylish and cool people and met some friends. The event was great!

Avenue Montaigne was so crowded and it was difficult to find a nice place to photograph. I have also seen so many bloggers in the street and I just did not feel it would be singular. I decided to wait and walk around to find something unique. When I finally photographed this girl, the picture came out like this. All the frames of this polaroid package have been damaged...such a shame! I wanted to sit and cry! I don't have one single picture of the night!

I promise I will make it up to everyone of you!!

Yesterday night I went to Queen for a friends birthday party and afterward I went to NEO to meet a friend. I saw there this girl with this amazing blazer with shoulder pads...

Later I will go to Scott Schuman's book signing at Colette.

The weather is crazy today in Paris. Rainy and Sunny, hot and cold... it is difficult to find something in the wardrobe that will look good and be comfortable during all day. But this Scottish girl pulled it off!

I did a test with Irina (left) some months ago in Paris and I saw her again yesterday walking with her friend here in Nikolaev, Ukraine!

Nikolaev was founded in 1788 during the Russian-Turkish war of 1787-1791 as a naval base after the Russian annexation of the Black Sea coast, near the site of the ancient Greek Olbia. The city was a military port until 1862!
You can see all over the city some paintings like this one, behind the girls.

Summer holidays are over in Ukraine and today all students went back to school.
This is how girls attend lessons on the first day, but during the Soviet Union they used to dress like this every day. Isn't it lovely?
